Mountain Biking

‚ÄčThe Centaurus Mountain Biking team is back in season (Officially known as the Monarch composite team). After two races, the team holds 8th place overall in the state. Last weekend the team rode their second race on a grueling course at 11,000 feet in Leadville Colorado. The course consisted of numerous 6 mile laps with steep single track climbs and sketchy descents through aspen trees and  obstacles.  The Centaurus Mountain Bike Racers this year are:
Freshman: Zoe Adams, Charlie Fischer and Ethan Kibe
Sophomores: Madeline O'Brian, Ian Munding and Ben white
Junior: Will Mcafee
Senior:  Sam Everett,
Everyone shredded the trails with a special shout out to  Zoe Adams who placed 22nd in a very competitive freshman field, and Sam Everett who after 24 miles of fast paced racing, placed 7th in the varsity field. Special recognition goes to Ian Munding who broke his collar bone early on mountain biking and is out for the season, but continues to cheer on his team.
