Testing FAQ

Q: What device will my student use to take the exam?
A: Exams will be taken on school-managed Chromebooks. Make sure they are fully charged before exam day!

Q: What happens if I lose internet during the test?
A: Students only need to be connected to the internet to start the test and at the end to submit their responses. If the internet drops during testing, students can continue testing without disruption

Q: Is the timing the same?
A: Essentially! After the proctor starts the exam, Bluebook controls the exam timing; exam responses are submitted automatically as soon as the exam ends

Q: What if my student has accommodations?
A: Accommodations such as extended time are embedded into the Bluebook testing app. Students with embedded text-to-speech should bring headphones to utilize the machine-reading features.

Q: How should my student prepare for their digital AP exam?
A: Students will have ample opportunities to familiarize themselves with digital AP Exams, including test previews in the Bluebook app, AP Classroom practice assignments that closely mimic the look and feel of Bluebook exams, video tours of Bluebook features and tools, and more.
