🌎 All Careers are Environmental Careers!

Join us at New Vista High School for an inspiring student-led event: "Making a Living and a Life." Discover how every career path—from business to education—connects to environmental and energy sustainability.

This program features a panel discussion with local businesses like JAX and Treehouse Learning, hands-on activities, and strategies to boost your 21st-century job readiness.

  • When: Tuesday, April 28, 2026

  • Time: Join us at 6:00 pm for free pizza and networking; the main program begins at 6:30 pm.

  • Where: New Vista High School

  • Registration: RSVP on Eventbrite (Walk-ins are also welcome!)

Week 4/6

Rising Juniors and Seniors are invited to apply to the BVSD Grad+ Summer Leadership Academy!  The application will be open until April 14th.  Designed to help students build leadership skills and get a head start on a career, the Leadership Academy offers leadership and work-based learning activities through mentorship and partnership with industry professionals.  After the week-long (June 1-5, 10AM - 2PM) workshop, students will be placed in a 4 week, 20 hours/week internship that aligns with their career interests.  Thirty-six BVSD student interns will be accepted, and each student will earn a $500 honorarium.

SEAL of BILITERACY: STAMP test option. Open to all grades.

World Language AVANT STAMP TESTS ARE HAPPENING during the second week of March at each of the following locations:

BVSD Ed Center March 9, 4pm

Centaurus High School March 10, 9am

BVSD Ed Center March 14, 9am

 

Passing a World Language AVANT STAMP test is one way to qualify for the World Language portion of the SEAL of BILITERACY. The Seal is a prestigious, nationally recognized certificate that celebrates bilingualism. It is an amazing resumé builder for college or career. Students who achieve the Seal of Biliteracy are awarded a green graduation cord, as well as a Grad Plus medal and pin.
