Explore Career Pathways through ACCELERATE

Our Accelerate/Career and Technical Education pathways provide students with practical skills and hands-on experience in various fields, from business and engineering to computer science and the arts. These programs are designed to connect your classroom learning to real-world applications, helping you to explore potential careers.

By participating in a CTE pathway, you'll have the opportunity to learn from industry professionals, engage in work based learning, and build your employable skills. This approach not only prepares you for college and careers but also equips you to meet the needs of today’s job market. Join us in discovering your passions and preparing for a successful future!

Week 14

Explore the World of Careers at CSU Spur!
Want to see careers in action? Join our Career Exploration Field Trip to CSU Spur on Tuesday, April 7 and step out of the classroom and into an amazing facility focused on agriculture, food, water, and veterinary science. Get behind-the-scenes access, meet professionals, and discover opportunities you didn’t even know existed.

Part of the BVSD Work-Based Learning Series. Open to all BVSD high school students (seniors get priority)! We’ll meet at APEX (6600 Arapahoe Rd., Boulder, CO 80303) to board BVSD buses at 9:00 a.m., and we will return to APEX around 2:00 p.m.. Your absence from school will be excused.

Please bring a snack, drink, and lunch, and make sure to return the completed permission slip by Spring Break. Please know that space is limited, and submission of a slip does not guarantee a place.

Week 13

Are you interested in taking a CU course in the spring or summer semester?

Don't let cost be a barrier for you.

CU ACCESS Team is offering a Needs Based Scholarship for January 2026, and June 2026 to cover tuition!

(If students don’t feel comfortable providing family financial documentation within the application, they can also submit documents showing they’re on free/reduced lunch or a letter from a school counselor/Grad Plus site lead explaining any extenuating circumstances).

This is an excellent scholarship that covers the cost of one course, TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY!

Seal of Biliteracy

BVSD regards being Bilingual as a Superpower! Earn the Seal of Biliteracy, Get a Green Cord, and a Grad Plus Medal at Graduation. A great Resume Builder for College/Career Applications.

Did you know that your student could achieve a certification that demonstrates Biliteracy (in English and a World Language) through the prestigious Seal of Biliteracy?

Check out the link HERE to find out how your student may be/become eligible to earn the Seal! 

For students who aren’t sure if they qualify for the Seal of Biliteracy, or who would like to take a STAMP test in a World Language please connect with your Grad Plus Site Lead wendy.pearson@bvsd.org  (for students experiencing financial hardship, pls connect with Wendy- you will be helped)
