Incoming Student and Parent Transition Night 2/10/2020 6:30 pm

Course Selection for 2020-2021
 
Students who currently attend any BVSD school complete online course selection in Infinite Campus. Students who do not currently attend a BVSD school should complete a course selection form and return the form to the Centaurus Counseling Office. 
 
The deadline for students to enter course requests in IC (or to return a completed course selection form) is Wednesday, March 4th. Students unable to meet the March 4th deadline (including students who have recently enrolled at Centaurus) should return a completed course selection form as soon as possible. Students may drop form(s) off at the Centaurus Counseling Office or email form(s) to marlajoy.pacella-leo@bsvd.org.
 
To complete course selection, please review the information below and complete the course selection form for the appropriate grade.

Students new to Centaurus
The following information is from High School Transition Night. It includes information for students new to Centaurus, such as academic programs, four-year planning, and course sequences.


Students currently in 8th Grade/Incoming 9th Grade
Freshmen must enroll in at least 7 courses each semester (14 units)
2020-2021 9th grade Course Selection
Centaurus IB Interest Survey- complete and return to the Centaurus Counseling Office

Students currently in 9th Grade/Incoming 10th Grade
Sophomores must enroll in at least 6 classes each semester (12 units)

Students currently in 10th Grade/Incoming 11th Grade
Juniors must enroll in at least 5 classes each semester (10 units)

10th-grade course selection presentations in advisory

Monday, January 27th – Louisville Middle School
8th-grade course selection presentations (course selection sheets will be handed out by counselors)

Wednesday, January 29th 
9th-grade course selection presentations in advisory 

Friday, January 31st – Meadowlark
8th-grade course selection presentations (course selection sheets will be handed out by counselors)

Monday, February 4th – Angevine Middle School
8th-grade course selection presentations (course selection sheets will be handed out by counselors)

Monday, February 10th, 6:30-8:00
8th – 9th grade transition night for all incoming 9th graders and new students coming to CHS

Wednesday, February 12th 
11th-grade course selection presentations in advisory

Thursday, February 26th  – Meadowlark
8th-grade course selection  (Centaurus counselors will be present to assist with course registration)

Friday, February 28th - Angevine
8th-grade course selection  (Centaurus counselors will be present to assist with course registration)

Wednesday, March 4th
9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will course select in MYAP during advisory

Thursday, March 8th
Deadline for all students to complete course selection. Students unable to meet the March 8th deadline should return a completed course selection form to the Counseling Office as soon as possible.
