Homecoming Week

Centaurus Academic Support Fund

All week, starting October 1 to October 4, we will be participating in Grade Games; these are events that we have during the school year to see which grade is the most school-spirited. One of the ways your grade can get points is by submitting your photos to the stucco Instagram from any sporting event and stating your grade. 2 points for a photo, 5 points if you are dressed to theme, 10 points if you get a pic with a teacher.  The grade winner of the games will be announced at ½ time at the HoCo game.

Homecoming royalty nominations are starting! Look for QR codes around the school and on the StuCo Instagram @ centaurus_stuco to fill out the Google form to nominate your CHS court and royalty.

Who doesn’t love a good spirit week?!?! Start planning your outfits now!

September 30 - Oct 4:

  • Monday, we have no school so it is unofficially PJ day.

  • Tuesday: Class Color Day, Seniors wear BLUE, Juniors wear RED, Sophomores wear BLACK, and Freshmen wear WHITE.

  • Wednesday: Rise of the Minions

  • Thursday: Dress as your type

  • Friday: Dress as your grade: Freshmen are babies, Sophomores are toddlers, Juniors are adults, and Seniors are elderly.

The week is also packed with events!

  • Monday, September 24th we start off our HoCo celebration by cheering on our girls' Volleyball team as they take on Legacy.  Bust out your best animal print and come roar them on.

  • Thursday, September 26th during advisory we have our annual HoCo assembly.  Please drop your items off at advisory, have attendance taken, and head to your location in the gym.  Freshmen have the South West section, Sophomores have the North West side, Juniors the North East side, and Seniors the South East side.

  • Tuesday the 1st at 7:30 AM each grade has a designated wall in the commons to decorate.  Seniors have the display case and main hall, Juniors have the art side of the commons, sophomores have the counseling side, and freshmen have the food services side.  Your class representatives will distribute more information in the next week on your grades' Instagram.

THEN, come cheer on the Senior vs. Junior PowderPuff flag football game in Warrior Stadium with kickoff at 6:30. This is a free event for the community. Orchestra has arranged for the In-N-Out burger truck to be here again!  Grap your grub before the game and cheer on the players!  More info on how to get a prepurchased In-N-Out ticket to come in the next week.

  • Friday is our HoCo Football Game vs. Cheyenne Mountain, the theme is COWBOY, so dust off your boots, tip your hat, and come out to be loud and cheer on our football team to victory.

  • Saturday is the HoCo dance! Tickets will be on sale ONLY the week of October 1 - 4 for $20 during lunches in the commons. No tickets will be sold at the door. The dance is a semi-formal all-school event that takes place in our gyms. Please see the new policy of AttenDANCE

    • Guest pass application forms can be picked up on Mr. Herbstreit's desk in the main office. These need to be filled out and given to your guest, who must then have their school admin sign-off on their attendance. You can also follow this link to print your own copy, but they must be filled out physically.
