May 14: Let the Celebrations Begin!
- Elementary Walk <- information about each elementary school and details of the day linked here. Having seniors walk the halls of their elementary schools at graduation is a pretty new tradition that was started last year by the class of 2025. It is quickly becoming a meaningful tradition to the elementary schools and us. It gives graduating students a chance to reflect on how far they've come and celebrate the journey from childhood to adulthood. For younger students, it offers inspiration and a glimpse of the future, showing them what they can achieve. It also allows teachers and staff to see the impact of their early guidance, creating a full-circle moment that honors growth, community, and the importance of every step along the way. Please wear your cap and gown for this event. Each school has an honored walk planned for you. You will end the parade by taking a picture with their kindergarten classes, as they start their academic journey in BVSD, and you begin to close the door to BVSD and start a new journey. If you did not attend elementary school in a Lafayette school, please join with your friends; the moment will still be memorable.
- Senior Car Parade: <- information about the event linked here. Decorate your cars, wear your best CHS gear, or even sport your cap and gown! Gather in the CHS COVID/NORTH parking lot, no earlier than 6:00 pm. We will line up to exit East on South Boulder, head to Centaur Village, and drive to the West entrance of Waneka via Caria. The parade starts promptly at 7:00 PM. Once at Waneka, you can celebrate together with your senior sunset.
- Senior Sunset *This will take place at Waneka Lake after your car parade, but is not a sanctioned school event.
May 15th: Rite of Passage School Assembly!
Be in your Advisory class by 11:00. You will check in and watch a video of you when you were a freshman. After that, the school will walk to the gym for the Rite Of Passage Assembly. At the end of the assembly, you, as a senior class, will be invited to leave the stands and progress through a tunnel of teachers from the east to the west side of the main gym and enter the small gym. From there, you will have your graduation rehearsal. Senior Lu’au! Senior parents and CSNAP have graciously organized one last celebration at CHS for you all together. Lunch, Kona Ice, games, and music for the seniors will take place at the stadium.
May 16: Graduation at 4:00 PM at the CU Events Center in Boulder. You MUST be there by 3:00! We will line up in an auxiliary gym and process into the graduation ceremony right at 4:00.
